Read more about the IAAPA Expo technologie recap in Orlando in 2022 in the article “Further Developments for Precise Show Control” in the bilingual Euro Amusement Professional magazine.

“Ottensheim, Austria’s Weigl Control presented visitors to its exhibition stand with various items including an advanced development in its “ProCommander® X” control device series: The new ProCommander “HXi” unit for the precise control of lighting and audio effects, four physical DMX outputs and optionally up to eight AES67 audio channels. Up to four audio layers can produce polyphonic sound via the available stereo audio output. DMX playback via network supports up to 32 Art-Net/sACN universes. To synchronize the fixtures with each other, in addition to a PTP time code, SMPTE/FSK, Art-NET or MTC can be used. As further functionality, the device has two CAN outputs to which up to 16 servo motors from different manufacturers can be connected.

Weigl also presented additional advanced developments for its “Showforge®” software, which is now also available as one of the first control solutions for Apple hardware as well. The result is that timeline shows can be visually created and edited intuitively via the “macOS” operating system analogous to Windows devices. Other innovative functions include the new editing, console and plot modes, guaranteeing a fast, capable workflow in combination with the track commands Play, Record, Latch and Live.”
