Streamline Marker Management With The New Marker Manager
The Marker Manager window offers a new cue list-style interface for managing and creating markers and streamlining the creation of shows of greater complexity. The Marker Manager window is accessed via the Marker Manager button on the upper right of the main window header. This button also uses a dynamic notification badge to provide a real-time count of the total number of markers within a show, and to indicate when a command or transport marker has been triggered from the running timeline. The Marker Manager window itself provides a full list of markers within the timeline along with the ability to lock, hide, test, add, edit, shift, delete and jump to markers. A marker’s full properties can also be accessed within this window by selecting the desired marker. Selecting multiple markers, by holding the shift or command key and clicking, provides a reduced set of shared properties for modifying all the selected markers at once.
Integrated WEM|Script™ ASCII Commands
A simplified workflow has been added to the WEM|Script™ markers pane to assist in the building of the most common commands from our extensive WEM|Script™ commands library. Choose the desired command from the dropdown menus and the associated settings and options are provided in a user friendly interface. The WEM|Script™ command is built in real time and displayed as options are selected. More complex commands can still be custom built and included as desired via the Manual option and new commands continue to be added.
Unmatched Import Flexibility & Functionality
Import functionality has been added for CSV files, as well as *.WM1 shows and full card directories, allowing for show content created in any Weigl show control software or 3rd party CSV compatible application to be imported directly into Showforge® for ultimate flexibility. Whether your show was created for the original WEMC-1 (nearly 15 years ago!) or built last week, you can now easily import and re-map it into a new or existing Showforge project, even if you lost your original timelines or the application that created them! This new feature is accessible via the Import Data button under the Shows tab in the Project Settings window.
When working with *.WM1 files, the option is available to create a Mapping Template. Once created, the template can be modified with the proper track names, target outputs, etc and then saved and applied to other imports from the same project to streamline the labeling and assignment process.
For further output mapping process efficiency, Track Names and Target Groups can be manually added as desired, automatically making them available in the dropdown menu for applying to other outputs. Attributes such as Target Group, Interpret Values As and the Output Selection on/off checkbox can also be applied to multiple outputs simultaneously by selecting the desired outputs with Shift + click or Command + click and then choosing the attribute to apply to all selected.
Full Support for sACN Priorities
Priorities can now be specified for sACN inputs. Options are provided for highest takes precedence, all incoming and a specific priority value. Outputs on both the Showforge® timelines and globally within the ProCommander® X Series devices can be assigned a priority level to eliminate the patching and re-configuring normally required within a show setup.
Live Monitoring of Art-Net and sACN Inputs
Monitor incoming Art-Net and sACN streams via the new Art-Net/sACN Monitor, accessible under the View menu.
For multiple sACN streams to the same universe, the sACN priority of the stream to be monitored can be specified in the Limit By Priority field. Simultaneous recording of over 500 universes of DMX is possible on the new Mac M1 processor equipped machines.
UDP Console For Convenient Direct
The UDP Console functionality of Hardware Configurator has now been incorporated directly into Showforge®. Convenient, direct communication with connected Weigl and other devices on the network is now possible for sending and receiving UDP messages and WEM|Script™ commands. Access the UDP Console via the View menu.
